This year, 2010, I had my second participation in Service Day. I should say it’s rather a different experience this time round as compared to previous time. When I was just a cadet quite new in the unit, I was quite anxious and nervous to carry out the Service Day as I wasn’t comfortable in speaking to the public. Meanwhile, this year, I am quite confident in carrying out the annually event aiming to spread crime prevention. The reason why I mentioned this year event is quite different is due to the fact that this time round, I am the one guiding the Secondary ones and twos to spread the message to the neighbourhood with confidence. Though some of them seem not confident enough, I encouraged them by giving them some advices. By looking at them spreading the message to the residents, it reminded me of my sec one’s life. Nevertheless, it is my responsibility in ensuring that confidence is built in my juniors as they will be the one who will take over my batch’s position soon.
Besides, other events that increased my interest in being my part of EVG NPCC unit is the bond among us. Whether is it within my batch or as a whole unit. Indeed, I am certainly proud for joining NPCC as my CCA. I had a lot of fun and my squad mates will always give me some words of encouragement to lift up my confidence whenever I’m down. I am certain that EVG NPCC will be the best unit if we still carry on with our tradition in lifting each other up when one is down. As that is what a team or should I say FAMILY are for!
